Michigan wolves have made a remarkable recovery numbering over 600 adults now mostly in the Upper Peninsula.

MichiganWolf.com is your one-stop resource for everything from updates to news on the Michigan Wolf population including the latest regulations, public meetings and activities occurring to look at scientific and proper management of our wolves, and general information on Michigan wolf biology and resource management.

Questions and comments of a positive and meaningful nature are welcome. MichiganWolf.com is generally supportive of providing intelligent resource management including hunting as often the most effective and efficient means of managing wildlife populations using the best stewards of our outdoors – hunters and anglers. We do not support emotional and social restrictions in general because they tend to limit opportunity and allow negative human-wildlife interactions that hunting and fishing are capable of managing and reducing.

We support educating the interested public about available practical experience and scientific research. More educated people are less likely to tolerate unnecessary social and emotional restrictions of fishing and hunting, and support the real stewards of our natural resources – the hunters and anglers who pay for most natural resources management because they care the most about proper management and maintenance of our mutually shared fish and wildlife, and the environment they rely on.
